Objectives
- To educate participants
on issues surrounding laparoscopic cholangiography
- To expose surgeons
of the technical aspects, as well as risks, costs and benefits of
laparoscopic cholangiography
- To develop the
participants' understanding of routes available for laparoscopic exploration
of the common duct
- To expose surgeons
to the different instrumentation and skills involved in trans-cystic
exploration, trans-choledochal exploration, and stone extraction
- To increase
the participants' comfort level with laparoscopic instrumentation
of the biliary tract.
