JAMES C. BUTCH ROSSER, Jr., MD, FACS
Dr. Rosser is Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center, Director of Beth Israel’s Advanced Medical Technology Institute, and Professor of Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has pioneered a number of minimally invasive procedures, most notably his streamlined laparoscopic suturing technique, and now travels the globe teaching his Top Gun Laparoscopic Skills and Suturing Course and other techniques to surgeons. Most recently, Dr. Rosser has received media attention for his study linking over the counter video games to laparoscopic suturing skill.

AMTI is dedicated to the assimilation of technological advances into medical training and treatment - "REACHING EXCELLENCE THROUGH TECHNOLOGY."

AMTI is an innovative center for education and research that is bringing state-of-the-art medical technology to surgical procedures worldwide, while maintaining it's commitment to serve patients and improve health care delivery.

Cyber-Based Education
AMTI conducts ongoing training and education programs utilizing the most state-of-the-art technology and techniques. AMTI offers cutting-edge skill training for surgeons to enhance the safest use of minimally invasive or laparoscopic procedures. Courses include the infamous Top Gun Laparoscopic Skills and Suturing Program and the Telemedicine Empowerment Course.

Telemedicine
Dr. James C. Rosser has extensive experience in telemedical applications and techniques. He is currently teamed up with Stryker Communications teaching Telemedicine Empowerment Courses.

Research and Development
The R&D currently underway at AMTI is focused on cyber-based education strategies and techniques that have the potential to decreases medical errors and deaths through skill acquisition. Innovative projects include the use of a video game warm-up to enhance surgical skill acquisition.
